Navimie is on Girls Gone WoW!

To tell you the truth, I would have publicised my upcoming guest appearance on the podcast Girls Gone WoW, but I was anxious because of a number of things!
  1. I've got a dreadful cold/flu.  I can't stop coughing and my nose is blocked and runny and I was absolutely paranoid I'd be doing disgusting boy sounds like sniffing and snorting during the interview and coughing with an open mic - EMBARRASSING!
  2. It was a bit early in the morning.  That said, 615am is not that early, especially for me, but when I'm medicated or unwell, I tend to sleep a bit more than usual.  I was freaked out I was going to miss the show!
  3. I was hoping hubby would keep the kids away from me for at least half an hour.  Sometimes he is a bit funny about things like I am getting up early to do a podcast for World of Warcraft.
  4. Did I mention this cough?  OMG it is a dreadful cough.
So I set my alarm, but all night, I was coughing, waking myself up, freaked out I'd wake hubby or kids up, so after an hour or two of coughing uncontrollably into my pillow, I decided to sleep in the spare room and cough my lungs out there.  I set my alarm, and hoped it would get me up.

Next thing I know, hubby is poking me, saying "It's 610am, you have 5 minutes to get to your podcast," and I leapt out of bed, and coughed all the way downstairs!  My nose was blocked so I grabbed some nasal decongestant, I went straight to the medicine cabinet to get out some panadol + codeine to try to suppress the cough and log into skype.  Phew, I wasn't TOO late.  Sil was there and told me not to worry and gave me a quick pep talk and said that I can say what I like, it's an adult show and she doesn't edit.  OMG she doesn't edit!  What if I say something stupid OMG what if I cough like I've got lung cancer into the mic and deafen everyone!

We started the show, and Rob wasn't there (shame!  I hardly ever get to hear his voice), but EJ and Raven were, and I told them my secret admission - I listen to their show because they all have god-sexy accents!  All the other podcasts I listen to are American, so it's really nice to hear English/Dutch accents and try to imagine the people behind the voices.  I can't help it if I have images of dark haired goth English chicks with attitude with their throaty voices - I think all of them would be highly amused that I imagined that!

So we talked about my blog, Mists, pet battles (OMG I was mouth breathing into the mic too - /facepalm) and I hoped that I muted all my coughs and nose blowing appropriately... I will find out when I hear the show!  There was one part, I was trying really hard to suppress a cough whilst talking, and I sounded like I was CONSTIPATED. Classy Navi.  Really Classy.

Sil was interested in my Navispam, and I gushed about that for a bit - Navispam was one of the things I really liked doing, and I still think it's a great way for me to remember what happened in my World of Warcraft glory days, meeting all these people on the internet who have one thing in common - passionate about WoW!  I told her about how I ended up doing EU Navispams as well, and how twitter was a great way to make sure you got your meetups sorted.  We talked about boobies and I got to gush about my crush... Nozdormu... /sighs dreamily.  Though maybe I was supposed to talk about GIRL boobies.  I should have put a girl one in there - I think it would have to be Alexstrasza and her gorgeous push up corset top giving her that nice cleavage.

The kids were up not long after so I couldn't stay for the whole show, but I wanted to thank the cast of Girls Gone WoW for having me on the show - it was a great honour and a pleasure and I would love to do it again when I'm not sounding like I'm dying from cigarette smoking!

So check out the podcast - Girls Gone WoW - I was on episode number 72 which will be available for listening on Wednesday I think.I'm excited because now I've joined Akabeko, Moogyver and Bravetank a whole host of other people that have been on the show!

  1. And we loved having you on! It was a shame we couldn't enjoy your presence longer, but fully understandable with a family and all. I do hope you start feeling better soon. We've all been quite sick on the podcast (except for of course, Rob) and I think you're not far of with the dark hair theory. lol and if I would have been a bit faster I would have had the chance to get the horde perspective of the Jade Forest. Need to remind myself to talk faster ;) xoxox Sil

    1. I wish I was well! I would have talked a lot more because talking was making me cough, but I'll just invite myself back again if you'll have me /grin. Thank you for the well wishes, I hope you are all feeling better too! EJ seemed rather tired...

  4. Wait, what, Americans don't have sexy accents?! Lol!! Okay so we all can't sound like Aisha Taylor or Tyler or whatever...so what if we sound like squeaky drawling dorks? Hey all I can say us I laugh like a Draenei and thus girl is so amazed and awed by all you do! That is awesome Navi!!!

    1. Using all the vowels and spelling with "re" instead of "er" is a prerequisite for having a sexy accent! Colours! Centre!

That said Draenei have an interesting laugh, it reminds me of a demon about to break out of human form. ;-)

    2. Oh my gawd.....that is exactly what is going on...somewhere in the new world small children hear a sulfurous laugh and are feeling oddly terrified....!

    3. I think it's because Australians and Americans are so commonplace accents to me that I don't find them particularly sexy :P
Hey I like that Draenei laugh!

    4. I'd like to point out Canadians spell like a Brit, but speak closer to American.

Some Americans have lived in England long enough for it to infect their spelling... Well, that's my excuse!

I just checked your blog for updates on pet battles... dang there is so so so so much to it. Pandaland is a bit overwhelming
