Blog design - new Blogger Dynamic views
One of the things I wish I was better at is HTML and blog design. I'm not very clever with the programming side of things sometimes, and there are so many things I'd like to put on my blog to make it look nicer, and easier to read. One of my biggest annoyances is that I wish I could make the posts have a summary so that my big posts don't push all the other ones off (I have to scroll a lot to get to the last post).
I thought I could get that with the new Dynamic Views that Blogger had on their Blogger Buzz Blog (Ummm, OK the word Blog was in there TOO many times!).
So I tried it out and though I do like some aspects of it, I am not sure if I am smart enough to customise it to the colours or formats that I liked! Here are some screenies of what it looked like:
This is Magazine View. I like how it shos the date nice and clearly and also little excerpts of each blog post and sometimes a picture if there are any. But the title is spread out so much I can't read it, and of course I will have to upload my title picture again.
This is Sidebar view. Not bad, I like how each of the posts is listed on the side, but the title is dragging off the screen again....
And all these new templates are so WHITE! It's almost Apple Inc white! I'm not sure I like that, but I'm sure I could fix that if I knew how. Anyway, what do you guys think? Should I try a new design like one of the ones above, or should I just leave it they way it is now?
