Minipost: Wednesday and Thursday raiding - Plunder the Thunder

Our group composition was interesting - Soultouched only JUST noticed we had 3 druids in the raid (Raked, Navimie, Lushnek), 2 paladins (Fue and Soultouched), 2 hunters (Souglyy and Sabrehawk), 2 warriors (Moopie and Falln) and 1 priest (Narishma).  Not ideal but hey, it can be done!

Horridon was not the cakewalk it was last week, but it went down.  I noticed that my mana was a lot better - I'm not sure if it's because I switched trinkets from Jade Courtesan Figurine to Qin'xi's Polarizing Seal.  Then it was onto the fun of council.

We have decided to try Sven's method of doing Council, and it seems reasonable, if we can figure out the stuns on tanks.  Sandstorms hurt but with only 2 sand adds up, it's not too hard to get them controlled, and Sandstorm is negated with tranquility and we have 3 of those when Narishma/Hwired is symbiosed.  They said we were making progress...

Come Thursday though, and it was tight.  Raked and Sabre weren't on, nor was Bish, leaving us one short.  Roshii asked me to ask Luxy to come on Luxygaga and so she came and raided with us.  I think Fue liked having a shaman around!  However, Roshii wasn't feeling well and so we called the raid a little early.  Gosh, so much movement for that fight, lucky for me I can heal on the run, I think it hurts everyone else with all that movement.

But, a break now!  I can PvP!  Looking forward to some PvP fun tomorrow night - I miss Sev, and it will be good to go face smashing with my bloodthirsty buddies.

  1. Last night we tried the original strat and Sven's strat.

As per usual the one that worked the best was SR brute force.

We start out on the King and then switched to every single troll that was empowered. We left Sorak on Sol when the priest was empowered but everyone else switched. We made several really good attempts before raid time ended.

We also had the tanks swap on the Frost King which helped a TON.

I am pretty sure they will go down MUCH quicker than Horridon.

    1. Sounds so awesome, and inspiring! I wish I felt that about our attempts :) But it still feels to me like I'm not getting anywhere.

  2. Thanks for inviting me. It was fun but.. what a busy fight, I had to go kill some things I could stand still for afterwards!

    1. We're happy you could come! I know you were freaking out about your mistakes but nobody really noticed - it was your first time with us and you did great! And we had bloodlust :D

  3. LOL I'm pretty sure I said to Soul a few nights ago that you guys were running with three druids. Further proof that he has mastered the, "Yes dear" smile and nod!
