Ahoy there Aralosseien and Mum Sephrenya! - A Navispam Post

I can't sleep. It's a ridiculous time of night, I had just met Rades and that made me so excited I could not sleep. Those Americans are at work, Aussies are asleep... time to hit the EU servers.

I head over to visit the server of Aralosseien of Achievements Ahoy, pulling up her page to check her alts.  When I log in I do a /who and I see one of her alts online!  I send her a whisper... CRAP I forgot I'm on a trial account, I can't whisper anyone.  Off to twitter I go, and I see Ara is tweeting!  I asked her to friend me, and I waited patiently until I get a tell "Ahoy!"

Ara jumped toons and came to meet me, bringing me to the shore of Teldrassil where she likes to sit and think, with nature around them and the calming sounds of the waves lapping at the shore.  Now is it just me, or does she look bigger than me?  And isn't that robe magnificent?  Conquerers nightsong!

Ara apologised that she didn't have any cool toys to show me, but we had a lovely time just chatting about everything from why she hadn't been blogging in a while (work was busy), to what she had been doing when I turned up (playing with Mogit) and then we started talking about blushing!  More specifically, what colour a Night Elf would turn if they blushed.  We decided on Violet.  Then we chatted about what colour is each race!  We came up with blue for draenei, red for Blood Elves, gold for humans, green for orcs and goblins, black for Forsaken, pink for gnomes, grey for dwarves, turquoise for trolls and brown for worgen and tauren.  Ara is one of the original people whose blog I followed in the early days of my blog, and I use her blogroll like a reading list - as she has some people on there that I don't have.

Then I had an idea.  Maybe Ara could tag along with me and help me search for my next Navispam, Sephrenya of Guild Mum.  Because I couldn't talk to anyone, having Ara would be a huge help in terms of the chatting.  Though, I know it can be rather embarrassing, so we both headed to Sephrenya's server and made level 1 toons... except that silly me forgot to tell Ara whether we were making horde or alliance!  Thank god for twitter.

So we did a /who and there were 2 people in the guild on, none of whom were people we were looking for.  So I told Ara what I normally say, which is a well rehearsed speech now:

"Hi there, I'm sorry to disturb you, but can I ask a question about one of your guildies?"

I didn't want Ara to have a bad experience so I told her to tell me straight away if anyone was rude to her or to back down if people were aggressive, and if people don't answer, we move to the next person.  The first person replied, but didn't answer our question, and the second person had a spam filter which meant that they wouldn't see our whispers until we were level 3.  Ara said we should try again later, but another person had gotten online, and so I said we should just try that one last person and then we will go.  Damn, I thought to myself.  It's pretty hard to do this when I can't talk to people and I don't know Sephrenya on Twitter.

"Oh, they said that Sephrenya is on an alt!  The one with the spam filter!" said Ara.  Yay!  So all we had to do now was wait.  Ara was a night elf and I was a human, so since we were on an RP server, I decided to do the usual tourist thing and that was to head to Goldshire Inn.  People were duelling and the inn was deserted, so it made me think that Moon Guard was the only server with the active ERP.  I'm such a voyeur ><

Sephrenya appeared in front of me and I introduced myself and Ara, and Ara had to go cook dinner, so I said my good byes to her and big thanks and turned my attention to Sephrenya, who had a beautiful mog with matching Hyacinth Macaw.

Sephrenya had so many toys, cool mounts, and pets!  After we introduced ourselves and I told her how delighted I was that she was online, and that I had the chance to meet her.  I told her that I remembered her from the 6th Meme, as she was the one I remember who hated chain letters and didn't want to pass it on.  I remember glancing at her blog and that she was friends with Godmother.

We talked for AGES.  We talked about transmog, and she pulled out her alts, and said that her guild loves to show a bit of flesh.  Her shaman looked lovely with decent pants and indecent pants!

Then she pulled out her druid and we talked about work, being a parent of 2 kids, dealing with difficult people, and other bloggers, I told her a little bit about how scary it can be sometimes approaching total strangers for Navispam.  We talked about some crazy moments in our blogging history.  Sephrenya was so genuine, so truly happy that I'd come to see her, it really made me thrilled that I could make her as happy as I was to meet her.

I got a random guild spam and I automatically declined, but the guild name was so awesome, so appropriate that I had to get Sephrenya to whisper the person again and ask them to reinvite me just so I could have the guild tag "Starstruck".   What could be more appropriate than that for meeting your readers, who make me starstruck every time they visit?

Sephrenya pulled out more toys and we blew bubbles and sat in fields of flowers we talked about... I don't know.  It was like meeting a kindred spirit with Sephrenya, a comfortable chat amongst two friends.

We had someone turn up shortly after and sit with us, Sephrenya thought he wanted some ERP, or he was thinking she and I were doing some ERP.  We had a giggle about that but we didn't oblige him :P

So Aralosseien and Sephrenya, consider yourselves both Navispammed!

Sephrenya, is your name a play on Sephrenia, most BAMF woman ever? :O

    2. Ara: Yes - I used to be Sephrenia, but it was taken when I moved server. I absolutely LOVE David Eddings novels and looked for naming inspiration there. Actually Seph was Aphrael first, but then that was taken when she first ever moved (she's been about a bit) and thinking it over Sephrenia fitted better. 'Little Mother' and being a High Priestess felt good :)
